Out Of Hours

Emergencies

If you are confronted by a serious problem such as

  • acute chest pain,
  • severe breathing problems,
  • major traumas,
  • head injuries,
  • lack of consciousness,
  • severe burns or scalds,
  • broken bones,
  • severe abdominal pain,
  • drug overdose
  • or severe bleeding,

Call an ambulance (tel: 999) before calling the surgery and go to the A&E Department, in the hospital.

At night and weekends a deputising service – Badger Harmoni - is in operation (Tel: 0300 1 30 30 30).

You can call NHS 111 if you need urgent medical help or advice but it is not life threatening situation. Available 24 hours a day, 365 days, calls are free from landline or mobile phones.

Accident & Emergency

The nearest Accident & Emergency department open 24 hours is the Manor Hospital, Walsall or New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton. Patients who think they may require x-rays or stitches as a result of an injury should go directly to a hospital.

Minor Injuries

These can be seen at Cannock Community Hospital during the following times only:

Monday - Friday 5.00pm - 10.30pm
Saturday, Sunday, Bank Holidays 9.00am - 10.30pm
Burnwood Health & Wellbeing Centre is open from 8.00am - 8.00pm Tel: 01543 687440

Please do not bring patients with minor injuries to the practice instead take them directly to the above hospital.
