Home Visits

Doctors will always encourage patients to come into the surgery because this is where best care can be provided. Specialist equipments is there, tests can be carried out more easily and drugs issued if necessary.

Home visits are for patients confined due to illness or disability or an urgent treatment can be given more quickly by visiting.

Patients are requested to telephone before 11.00am if a visit is required that day.

Emergency visits only will be arranged after the above time.

Please give the receptionist as much information as possible to enable the doctor to allocate priority to house calls.

Do remember that several patients can be seen at the surgery in the time it takes to do a home visit.

For this reason if you need a home visit, the duty GP may call you back to find out more about your problems before deciding to come out.
